Bandage Elasticity Tester
Medical Bandage Elasticity Tester for Measuring Elongation and Recovery Properties
ToronMed-BET01 Bandage Elasticity Tester is a precision instrument designed for evaluating the stretchability, elongation ratio, and recovery characteristics of elastic medical bandages and textile materials. Engineered for medical product manufacturers, QA labs, and R&D facilities, this tester ensures accurate and repeatable results in compliance with global quality expectations.
Ideal for testing medical elastic bandages, adhesive bandages, sports wraps, and elastic fabrics, the ToronMed-BET01 enables standardized performance evaluations to support safety, regulatory compliance, and material consistency.
Applications
| Material/Application | Tested Properties |
|---|---|
| Medical elastic bandages | Stretch length, elongation ratio, regain ratio |
| Adhesive medical bandages | Elasticity, stretch and recovery |
| Elastic woven textiles | Mechanical tension and resilience |
| Fitness/sports bands | Tensile performance, durability |
| Compression materials | Elongation behavior and recovery capacity |
Testing Principle
The ToronMed-BET01 uses a horizontal stretch mechanism with dual clamps and calibrated weights to apply controlled tensile force to the sample. Measurements of stretch length, elongation percentage, and regain ratio are taken under standardized conditions. Stretching can be applied either at a defined rate (200–500 mm/min) or within 5 seconds using suspended weights.
This method helps assess the mechanical and recovery properties of elastic bandages and related materials, supporting product validation and quality assurance.
Standards & Compliance
While originally designed with reference to standards YY/T0148-2006 and YY/T0507-2009, the ToronMed-BET01 aligns with equivalent international standards for textile and elastic materials testing:
- ISO 13934-1 – Tensile Properties of Fabrics (Strip Method)
- ISO 9073-4 – Tensile Strength of Nonwoven Fabrics
- ASTM D5035 – Breaking Force and Elongation of Textile Fabrics (Strip Method)
These standards provide robust methodologies for characterizing tensile and recovery performance, critical for medical textile safety and certification.
