Falling Weight Impact Testers for Plastic Pipes, PVC, and Electrical Conduits - ToronFWI-Series - Falling Weight Impact Tester ToronFWI-ASTM
Falling Weight Impact Tester ToronFWI-ASTM
ASTM D 2444
ToronFWI-ASTM Falling Weight Impact Tester is designed to assess the external impact resistance of thermoplastic pipes using either the staircase or round-the-clock method.
During testing, a striker with a defined mass and shape is dropped from a known height onto specific points around the pipe’s circumference. This process helps estimate the actual impact resistance of a production batch or extruder run.
To perform the test, place the sample on the V-block, close the chamber, and start the process. The system automatically lifts the striker into position within the falling tube.
Two testing methods are available: the round-the-clock method and the staircase method.
