Simulated sunlight
In the natural climate, solar radiation is the primary cause of coating aging, and the principle of exposure radiation under window glass is similar. The xenon lamp provides the most realistic representation of full-spectrum sunlight, including ultraviolet (UV), visible, and infrared light. Full-spectrum exposure is essential for accurate simulations, particularly in color change and sun fastness testing.
What sets the xenon lamp weathering test chamber apart from other domestic brands is its ability to control and automatically adjust radiation energy throughout the entire test. The energy of the test process plays a crucial role in the aging of polymer materials. To ensure the reproducibility and comparability of test results, controlling radiant energy is a key technical factor. Using a principle similar to the sun's eye, the system continuously monitors the energy value during the test. If the lamp's radiation energy falls short of the set value, the system can automatically replenish it to maintain accurate testing conditions.
Simulated humid condensation environment
In many outdoor environments, materials are often degraded by rain or other moisture. Water spray effectively simulates these environmental conditions during the testing process. It plays a crucial role in replicating thermal shock or mechanical erosion caused by sudden temperature changes and rain washout. For example, under certain conditions such as sunlight, when accumulated heat is rapidly dissipated by a sudden shower, the temperature of the material can drop sharply, leading to thermal shock. This is a significant test for many materials.
The water spray system is designed with two nozzles, one on each side at the top of the test chamber. The system can operate for a few minutes and then shut off. This short-duration spray rapidly cools the sample, creating conditions for thermal shock. The spray can also be configured to follow either a dark or light cycle. Note: The water used in the test process must be purified.
