ToronPharma-TD1020 Tap Density Tester is designed to measure the tap density of powders, granules and similar products in accordance with USP Method 1 or 2.
Results are achieved by mechanically tapping a measuring cylinder (i.e. raising the cylinder and allowing it to drop a specified distance under its own weight) containing the sample under test. This technique is particularly useful in powder flowability studies and also in determining the amount of settlement during transit to optimize pack sizes e.g., washing powders, pharmacy samples, cannabis samples.
Test results like Tapped Density, Compressibility Index and Hausner Ratio can be obtained easily, time and date on which the test was performed can be recorded as well. The system is configured to perform more than 300 taps per minute and can be easily connected to an external printer to generate records of valuable test parameters and input values.
Our recently delivered simple yet technically efficient system, will help this customer test and study the fundamental Tapped Density, Compressibility Index and Hausner Ratio of a variety of cannabis tablets and pharmaceutical samples which will be a mandatory requirement in this growing and ever-evolving cannabis market.
