The Hammer Mill CB1000 processes samples through impact, making it suitable for the preparation of brittle and moderately hard samples. It can efficiently handle large batches of both coarse and fine grinding, and it is commonly used in power plants and sample preparation laboratories for accurate coal quality analysis. It is known for its ease of use, efficiency, and the minimal residual material left in the mill chamber.

Working Principle

Samples are introduced into the center of the mill chamber via a patented feeding hopper. Inside, they encounter a high-speed, high-frequency rotor that applies impact forces to reduce particle size. When the particle size becomes smaller than the diameter of the sieve, it drops into a collection pan. The rotor also draws in a substantial amount of air through a feeding tunnel, helping to expel the reduced particles from the mill chamber.
